Ideal Steel Erectors, LLC was founded in April 2022. While we may be a newer company, our team brings years of hands-on experience in the steel erection industry. Based in Tipton, Indiana, we’re focused on doing things the right way—working safely, staying professional, and completing projects on time or ahead of schedule.

Every project starts with a clear plan. Before we ever step on site, we take the time to define our goals, responsibilities, and expectations so everyone is on the same page. That plan guides us from start to finish, helping our team stay organized, track progress, and adjust as needed along the way. We use tools like drone photography to monitor job progress and make smart, informed decisions throughout the project.

At the end of the day, we believe that when you put the right processes, procedures, and people in place, the results speak for themselves.

Services.

We provide labor-only services and the equipment necessary to erect structural steel, including columns, girders, joists, beams, bridging, bracing, decking, and perimeter angles, as specified in the erection drawings. Our scope of work is typically completed within a single mobilization. All work is performed in strict compliance with CFR 1926.750 (OSHA Subpart R), AISC standards for steel erection and AWS D1.1/D1.3 standards for welding. We are committed to delivering expert workmanship while meeting our customers’ schedules and budgets—on time or ahead of schedule.

We bid and work directly with General Contractors and Steel Fabricators and specialize in single-story warehouse buildings. We do not bid government, prevailing wage, or refrigerated projects.

Our team has successfully completed projects of varying size and complexity, demonstrating the experience and capability to handle both large and small jobs efficiently.

We have the capacity to unload up to 25 trucks of steel per day.

All projects include a one-year workmanship warranty.

At Ideal Steel Erectors, LLC, every member of our team has a proven track record, and together we deliver safe, professional, and efficient results.

Valerie Bellon, Owner—Over 30 years in construction, including extensive experience in steel erection estimating. Valerie handles contracts, participates in project planning, scheduling, and field oversight, ensuring every project runs smoothly from start to finish.
Accounting Department—Our Accounting Department consists of our Office Manager who brings decades of steel erection office management experience. While overseeing accounting, payroll, and human resources, they ensure accurate financial operations and seamless coordination between the office and field projects. The department is further supported by administrative assistance that contributes to daily accounting functions, payroll processing, and general office operations, strengthening efficiency and supporting the company’s continued growth within the industry.
Estimating Department—Our Estimating Department brings together more than a decade of combined experience in steel erection, estimating and project coordination. The estimating team works closely with field employees, superintendents, and project managers to develop accurate project schedules and customized solutions tailored to each project’s size and complexity. Strong administrative coordination supports these efforts by managing project correspondence, communications, and documentation, ensuring clear collaboration from pre‑planning through execution. Together, the department provides dependable estimating expertise, efficient communication, and organized project support that contribute to smooth operations and successful project outcomes..

Together, this team brings a depth of knowledge, skills, and dedication that allows Ideal Steel Erectors to handle projects of any size, efficiently and safely. Our experience isn’t just a number—it’s the foundation of every project we take on.

At Ideal Steel Erectors, our people come first. Keeping our employees safe is our number one priority, and we take that responsibility seriously on every jobsite.

We work from a master safety plan that covers common hazards in our industry, how to prevent injuries, and the safety practices our crews follow every day. For each project, we also put together a site-specific safety plan so everyone knows exactly what to expect. Our teams meet weekly for toolbox talks, and every field employee is provided with the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

We believe safety starts with knowledge and preparation. That’s why our employees receive ongoing training and are fully OSHA 30-hour or OSHA 10-hour certified, along with First Aid, CPR, AED, and MEWP training. Our goal is simple: give our team the tools and support they need to go home safe at the end of every day.
